===Introduction:=== ''Sabinaria magnifica'', only recently discovered in 2013 is an incredibly beautiful, and spectacular palm, and is undoubtedly one of the world's most amazing ornamental palms. It is native to the Columbian/Panamanian border where it lives in shady humid rainforests. The Latin epithet ''magnifica'' refers to the strikingly beautiful aspect of the palm. It typically grows to a height of about 3-6 meters (10-20 feet), making it a relatively small to medium-sized palm. Its enormous leaves, which can reach up to 3 meters (10 feet) in width are palmate, with a deep, glossy green color on top and a striking silver-blue underside. These give the palm it's majestic and elegant look. The trunk is short, straight and slender, usually covered in fibrous material, with a base that is often swollen.
