Distribution & Habitat:[edit]

Madagascan rainforest.

Description:[edit]

Small clustering palm similar in habit and appearance to D. lutescens. Can be distinguished by its longer petioles, fewer and finer leaflets. Has red colouration at the base of new spikes.

Culture:[edit]

Sunny, moist, but well drained position. Easy to cultivate.
