Satake Palm

Distribution & Habitat:

Open forest on Ryukyu Islands, Japan.


An attractive, medium sized, solitary feather palm, to about 10m tall, and similar in appearance to the coconut palm


Not often seen, but becoming more popular.


A sunny, moist, well drained position. Frost tolerant. Slow growing.
