Habitat:

Rainforest of north-eastern Madagascar.

Description:

A very distinctive, medium sized, single trunked palm to about 9m, with a "zebra stripping" on the rhachis, and white underside to the leaves.

General:

Endangered in the wild, with only 2 small populations known.

Culture:

Warm, sheltered, and moist. Likes a very light, open mix and heavy shade. Very slow growing.
