Distribution & Habitat:

Madagascan rainforest.

Description:

Small, clustering, understory palm with a deeply notched entire leaf. Attractive red colouration at the base of the petioles.

Culture:

Likes a sheltered moist, but well drained position in the sub-tropics/tropics (???).
