Distribution & Habitat:

Madagascan rainforest.

Description:

A large, solitary palm with a thick trunk, orange crownshaft, and long slightly plumose leaves. Similar in appearance to Dypsis pilulifera

General:

Another Dypsis only known from cultivated specimens.

Culture:

Sunny, moist, but well drained position. Fairly slow growing.
