Dypsis sp. 'Pink Crownshaft'

Common Names:

None

Habitat:

Madagascan rainforest.

Description:

A medium sized palm, with an attractive pink crownshaft (surprise surprise), probably to about 10m high. The leaves are very similar (identical ?) to D. pinnatifrons, i.e. thaey are cupped, and arranged in groups down the rhachis. The new leaves are dark red.

It likes a sunny, moist, but well drained position.
