Conservation Status:

Endangered. Thought until recently to have been extinct.

Distribution & Habitat:

Loland coastal rainforest in north eastern Madagascar.

Description:

A medium sized solitary palm to 5 metres tall, with pinnate leaves made up of numerous long, thin leaflets.

Culture:

Warm, sheltered and moist.
