Distribution & Habitat:

Around the Bay of Antongil on the north-east coast as well as the central east coast of Madagascar.

Description:

A moderate sized clumping palm (very occasionally solitary) to about 6m (18ft) tall. It has light green bifid leaves or leaves irregularly divided into 2 - 8 leaflets.

Cultivation:

Warm sheltered and moist. Tropical-subtropical. Frost sensitive.
