Distribution & Habitat:

Only 2 known populations, in rainforests of central-eastern and south-eastern Madagascar.

Description:

A large solitary palm to 12 metres tall with a very solid trunk, a browny orange and white tormentum on the leaf bases, and plumose leaves.

Cultivation:

Warm and moist.
