Lowland rainforest of the Masoala Peninsula, Madagascar.
Description:
Massive, litter trapping palm, with a trunk to about 1m tall, with leaves to about 3.5m long. Very similar to D. perrieri.

Culture:
Warm, sheltered, and moist.
