Distribution:

Marojejy massif, north-east Madagascar.

Habitat:

Ridges in submontaine rainforest.

Description:

A squat, robust litter collecting palm to 6m tall, with plumose leaves, and grouped leaflets. New leaf is red.

General:

Culture:

Warm, lightly shaded, moist but well drained position.
