Habitat:

East coast of Madagascar.

Description:

Tall, to 25m, solitary, tristichous palm, with slightly plumose leaves.

General:

As youngsters these palms apparantly have extremely vivdly coloured leaf petioles and rhachis; streaked with red, white and black.

Culture:

Full sun/light shade, well drained.
