Distribution & Habitat:

Montane forest along the central east coast, Madagascar.

Description:

A small understory palm to about 1 metre tall, with long, entire, deeply bifid, corrugated leaves. Leaf usually entire bifid, altho occasionally divided into 3 leaflets either side. It has a red new leaf.

Culture:

Warm, sheltered and moist.
