Distribution & Habitat:

Rainforest of central east coast and inland, Madagascar.

Description:

A small attractive Dypsis, clumping or solitary, usually to about 2 metres tall, although it can get up to 4 metres. It has a glossy, bifid leaf that is is usually entire, but may split once. It can have either red or light green new leaves.

Culture:

Warm, sheltered and moist. Easily grown.
