Common Names:

Unknown

Distribution & Habitat:

North-eastern Madagascan lowland rainforest.

Description:

A small to medium sized clustering palm (3-12 stems) up to 6m tall, which can have entire or divided leaves. It has distinctive red coloured rhachis.

General:

It is considered endangered.

Culture:

In cultivation it requires moist shady areas and is an excellent potted plant.
