Distribution & Habitat:

Rainforest forest west of Mahavelona, on the mid north-west coast of Madagascar.

Description:

Small entire leaved Dypsis to 2.5m (8ft) tall, with a glossy leaf that may split, but only once or twice. Some have a very attractive red new leaf, but on other plants it is light green.

Cultivation:

Sheltered and moist. Tolerant of light frost. Warm temperate thru to tropical regions.
