Distribution:

Central America, from Honduras thru to Panama

Habitat:

Rainforest

Description:

An attractive, small, clumping palm to about 1m tall with small (10-15cm long), simple, notched leaves. In contrast to the other cultivated members of the genus, this species doesn't have the "window panes" or slits in the leaves.

General:

A popular collectors palm.

Culture:

Warm, sheltered and moist.
