Common Names:

Milpesos palm

Habitat:

South American rainforest

Description:

Attractive, tall, palm with an upright "shuttlecock" type leaf arrangenmment. The new leaves are maroon in colour.

General:

A rarely seen palm which deserves to be much more widely cultivated.

Culture:

A fast grower, given plenty of sun, water, and warmth.
