Distribution & Habitat:

Open eucalypt forest in the Mount Perry region, south-central Queensland.

Description:

A medium sized cycad, with a trunk to about 0.3m tall, and leaves up to 1.5m long.

General:

This species was initially described in 1886, but was until recently just thought to be a variant of M. miquelii

Culture:

Sunny, well drained position. Frost, and drought tolerant.
