Distribution & Habitat:

Comoro Islands rainforest at elevations between 300 and 1000 metres.

Description:

A very attractive, medium sized clumping palm, to about 6m, similar to D. cabadae. It has very wide, glossy, dark green leaflets with white petioles and green ringed bamboo like trunks.

Culture:

Lightly shaded, well drained position. Cold sensitive. Becoming very popular with palm collectors.
