Andean Wax Palm
Distribution & Habitat:
Moist slopes in the Columbian Andes, South America.
An extremely tall (to 60m) feather palm, with a wax covered crownshaft, and leaf underside, which gives it a silvery grey colouring.
One of the worlds tallest palms.
Likes temperate, but frost free areas - cool, humid, and moist. Very difficult to grow outside these areas.
