Distribution & Habitat:

Only found in shady Pinus forests at San Luis Potosi, eastern Mexico, at about 1800m altitude.

Description:

A small cycad to about 20cm high, with spirally twisted leaves.

General:

Endangered in its native habitat. Popular with collectors.

Culture:

A shady, moist position in well drained soil.
