Common Names:

Millstream Palm

Distribution & Habitat:

River banks and soaks of the Hammersley Ranges, Western Australia, around the headwaters of the Fortescue, and Hooley Rivers. The Millstream Pools are 4 permanent water pools along the Fortescue River.

A medium fan palm, with a rounded head of fine, blue/green leaves.

This is a relict palm, of the time when Australia was covered in tropical/sub-tropical vegetation.

Sunny, moist position. Probably doesn't mind wet feet. Very slow.
