Common Names:

Red Latan Palm

Distribution & Habitat:

Cliffs and coastal ravines of the Mascarene Island of Reunion.


A medium to large fan palm, in which the petioles, and leaves have a very distinctive red colouration.


Sunny, moist, but well drained position.
