Synonymy:

Claimed by some to be a synonym for C. tepejilote, but not according to the [[www.kew.orgwcspnamedetail.do?accepted_id=37473&repSynonym_id=-9998&name_id=37473&status=true" Monocot List

Distribution & Habitat:

Mexican rainforest.

Description:

A small to medium sized solitary palm to about 4m tall. Very closely related to C. tepejilote.

Culture:

Lightly shaded, moist, but well drained position. Tolerant of light frost.
