Eastern Mexico thru to Nicaragua.
Dry rocky areas.
Usually single trunked, rarely suckering palm to about 7.5m tall, costapalmate leaves, with both blue and green forms.
Full sun, well drained position. Frost and drought tolerant. Dislikes high humidity. Slow.
