Common Names:
Florida Thatch Palm

Habitat:
Found in coastal forest of South Florida, South-east Mexico to Nicaragua, and much of the northern Caribbean.

Description:
An attractive, medium sized, solitary fan palm to 6m tall, with a slender, smooth trunk and dark green, glossy, circular fan leaves with drooping leaf tips.

Culture:
Sunny, well drained, calcareous soil, in the tropics and sub-tropics. Salt tolerant, but slow growing.
