Distribution & Habitat:
Found in mountainious areas of eastern Brazil from 400 to 1400m.

Description:
A small, clustering species with an acaulescant trunk, and small, regularly pinnate, bright green leaves with stiff, leathery leaflets.

Culture:
Sunny, well drained position from the subtropics thru to warm temperate areas. Probably frost and drought tolerant. Not very common in cultivation.
