Distribution & Habitat:
Tropical deciduous forests in Western Mexico.

Description:
A solitary fan palm with a slender trunk to about 15m tall, with an open crown of strongly costapalmate leaves.

Culture:
Sunny, moist, but well drained position in the tropics and sub-tropics.
