A tall, solitary palm to about 20m, with a very solid, white trunk, wide leaflets, and pinnate leaves. Often said to be the most attractive of the Roystoneas, despite not being as commonly grown as R. regia . Can be differentiated from R. regia because of its wide leaflets in a single plane while R.regia has thin leaflets, in a plumose arrangement.General:
A very good garden plant, for the larger garden only however.Culture:
Prefers a sunny, moist position, and doesn't mind wet feet. A very fast grower once it starts trunking.
