About:
Rhapis excelsa cultivar Nanzannishiki has a grade 2 ranking. Discovered in 1969, parent unknown.

Description:
Clear yellow stripes on all leaves, compact, thick clumping, good grower. Note the new leaf starts out as dark and light green. The light green changes to yellow and some leaflets become totally yellow. In the older leaves some of the yellow fades to a creamy white colour.

Culture:
A quick grower, doubling in size in 1 year and suckers freely. Appears to very hardy to temperature and is a good beginners plant as the reward comes quickly.
