Habitat:
Eastern Madagascan rainforest, near the crest of steep slopes.

Description:
A short, litter collecting palm of the understory, to about 3m tall, with leaves up to 4m.

General:
Highly endangered, with fewer than 25 adult plants known.

Culture:
Warm, sheltered, and moist.
