Distribution & Habitat:
New Guinea rainforest.

Description:
Attractive, medium sized, solitary Ptychosperma , to about 5m, with caryotoid leaves, and dark red emergent leaves.

General:
Often confused with P. burretianum , the main difference being that this species is solitary, while P. burretianum is clustering.

Culture:
Warm, sheltered position, with moist, well drained soil.
