Threatened

Distribution & Habitat:
Endemic to the south-west peninsula of Haiti where it is found in dry scrub in river valleys.

Description:
A medium-sized solitary palm with a smooth, grey trunk that is distinctly swollen in middle, and long, graceful, pinnate leaves.

Culture:
Sunny, well drained position. Drought tolerant.
