PACSOA - Pigafetta filaris
Palms

Pigafetta filaris
Home

This palm is native to a relatively small area in Papua New Guinea. It grows from near the town of Vanimo towards the Bewani mountain range. Informed sources have declared that this specimen was the originally named palm. The specimens which generally are found in botanical collections around the world appear to have come from the Indonesian island of Sulawesi and will have to be renamed.
