A solitary, pinnate palm to about 8 metres (25 feet) tall. It has an attractive ringed trunk and upright leaves with drooping leaflets. Somewhat similar in appearance to Howea forsteriana (the Kentia palm).Cultivation:
This plant is poisonous, especially the seeds. Use gloves when cleaning the fruit, and wash your hands afterwards.Cultivation:
Likes a sunny, well drained position.
