Distribution:
Widley spread throughout southeast Asia.

Habitat:
An emergent palm of the tropical rainforest.

Description:
A tall fan palm (to about 25m), with red/orange, heavily armed petioles. It has large clusters of bright blue fruit.

General:

Culture:
Sunny, moist, but well drained position. Quite cold tolerant when older.
