Palms   Livistona chinensis

Common Names: Chinese Fan Palm Distribution & Habitat: Open forest on Japan, Taiwan, and the Ryukyu Islands. Description: An attractive, solitary, fan palm to about 10 m with distinctive drooping tips to its leaves. It gets large bunches of blue fruit. General: One of the most common palms seen in south-east Queensland. Culture: Preferably a sunny, moist position, but its a tough, easy to grow palm, tolerant of a wide range of conditions.
