Palms   Hyphaene compressa

Common Names: East African Doum Palm Habitat: Open grassland, coastal northern Africa. Description: Medium to large fan palm, with a distinctive branching trunk. General: The branching characteristic is considered to be very primitive. Culture: Open, sunny position, in tropical/sub-tropical areas.
