Synonymy:
Gronophyllum pinangoides

Habitat:
A small understory palm from the rainforests of north-western New Guinea.

Description:
A small clumping palm, with large triangular, ruffled leaves, the new ones of which are a very attractive red colour.

Culture:
Likes it sheltered, shady, and warm.
