Distribution & Habitat:
Found at elevations to 1300m in the coastal forest of southern Brazil.

Description:
An attractive, small, clustering palm to 4m high. The leaves, to 80cm long, are divided into a few, irregular sized leaflets.

Culture:
Sheltered and moist. A very easy to grow and adaptable palm, suitable for cool temperate thru to tropical climates and will even take light frosts without damage. Not often seen in cultivation, but should be given its attractiveness and ease of growth.
