Figure 1. D. onilahensis
|
Description:
A very attractive, clustering (or rarely solitary) palm, up to 20m high,
arching to nearly pendulous leaves, similar in appearance
to
D. baronii
. Whitish crownshaft.
General:
I've seen several plants in SE Queensland labeled as D. onilahensis
,
mainly due to their having a whitish crownshaft, but after seeing the real thing,
they plainly aren't. What they are tho, I have no idea.
Culture:
Lightly shaded to full sun, moist but well drained soil.
Seedlings are slow.
