Distribution & Habitat:
Comoro Islands rainforest at elevations between 300 and 1000 metres.

Description:
A very attractive, medium sized clumping palm, to about 6m, similar to D. cabadae . It has very wide, glossy, dark green leaflets with white petioles and green ringed bamboo like trunks.

Culture:
Lightly shaded, well drained position. Cold sensitive. Becoming very popular with palm collectors.
