Distribution & Habitat:
Low altitude (0-500m) forest in the Maroansetera valley, province of Toamasina, Madagascar.

Description:
An attractive, medium to large palm up to 10m tall, which has a waxy silver/white crown with reddish fur at the top, and long, dark grey/green, plumose leaves.

Culture:
Likes a sunny, well drained position in the sub-tropics/tropics. Slow growing.
