Common Names:
Highland Sugar Cane Palm (because of its likeness to D. baronii )

Distribution & Habitat:
Endemic to high-elevation, moist montane forest, in the areas of Tsaratanana, Marojejy and Anjanaharibe, northern Madagascar.

Description:
Medium sized, clustering palm with slender stems and finely pinnate, drooping leaflets similar to D. onilahensis .

Culture:
As for D. baronii .
