Distribution & Habitat:
Madagascan rainforest

Description:
A very attractive small to medium sized clustering palm to 3m tall with a reddish-purple crown shaft, and large, entire or sparsely pinnate, deeply notched leaves.

General:
Only recently described, it is very much in demand by palm collectors, but it can be quite difficult to find.

Culture:
Warm, sheltered and moist, but well drained position.
