Synonymy:
Neophloga concinna ,
plus many others.

Distribution & Habitat:
Found on slopes and ridgetops in submontaine rainforest on the central east coast of Madagascar.

Description:
A very attractive (concinna is Latin for pretty), understory palm, either solitary or clustering, to about 2 m high. Narrow, shiny green leaflets.

Culture:
Warm, sheltered and moist. An easy grower.
