Madagascan rainforest.

Description:
Small clustering palm similar in habit and appearance to D. lutescens . Can be distinguished by its longer petioles, fewer and finer leaflets. Has red colouration at the base of new spikes.

Culture:
Sunny, moist, but well drained position. Easy to cultivate.
