Common Names:
Round Island Hurricane Palm

Distribution & Habitat:
Only found on Round Island in the Mascarenes.

Description:
A medium sized solitary palm that has a short, stout trunk and a prominent, pale crownshaft. The arching leaves form a dense, full crown. The leaflet tips of this plant stay joined together, which creates a very distinctive, and atttractive look. It is the smallest of the three varieties of Dictyosperma.

Culture:
As for D. album . Keep it out of the wind, so that the leaf tips don't get blown apart. Salt tolerant.
